You Have A Calling

God’s plan for you is than salvation

You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain – John 15:16a

For you have been called for this purpose, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you would follow in His steps – 1Pe 2:21

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in Me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.” – John 14:12

Everyone has a calling

A Holy Life

God has called us to live holy lives, not impure lives – 1Thes 4:7

To Know God Intimately

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. – Jer 29:11-13

To Forgive

Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and He will grant you His blessing. – 1Pe 3:9

A Life of Freedom

For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. – Gal 5:13

You have a calling

Calling   – A strong inner impulse toward a particular course of action or vocation especially when accompanied by conviction of Divine influence – Merriam-Webster Dictionary

He saved us and called us with a holy calling, not because of our works, but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began – 2Tim 1:9

✓  You have a calling – and you can’t be “uncalled”

God never changes His mind when He gives gifts or when He calls someone. – Rom 11:29

But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever; His intentions can never be shaken. – Ps 33:11

✓  Your calling is the place of your greatest fruitfulness

(Jesus speaking) You didn’t choose Me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using My name. – John 15:16

✓  Your calling is your place of freedom and joy

NOT just ministers

I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you… – Jer 1:5

You were created ON Purpose FOR a Purpose

Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in Me. Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing. – John 15:4-5
