“And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.” – Matt 7:3-5
Deal with Blind Spots
Then Jesus gave the following illustration: “Can one blind person lead another? Won’t they both fall into a ditch? – Luke 6:39
Only people who walk in the light can help others walk in the light
God expects us to be models of
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. – Php 1:6
Don’t try to them – Help try to them
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. – John 10:10b-11
No one should seek their own good, but the good of others. – 1Cor 10:24
For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the Law commands. The Law simply shows us how sinful we are. – Rom 3:20
