Only One Name

As they were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple guard and the Sadducees came up to them, being greatly disturbed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. And they laid hands on them and put them in prison until the next day, for it was already evening. But many of those who had heard the message believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand. – Acts 4:1-4

On the next day, their rulers and elders and scribes were gathered together in Jerusalem; and Annas the high priest was there, and Caiaphas, John, and Alexander, and all who were of high-priestly descent. When they had placed them in the center, they began to inquire, “By what power, or in what name, have you done this?” Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of the people, if we are on trial today for a benefit done to a sick man, as to how this man has been made well, let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead – by this name this man stands here before you in good health. He is the Stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the Chief Cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved.” – Acts 4:5-12

  Is Jesus the way?

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; No one comes to the Father except through Me” – John 14:6

  God is

You are good and You do good – Ps 119:68

For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all who call upon You – Ps 86:5

For the Son of Man (Jesus) has come to seek and to save that which was lost – Luke 19:10

This is what the Lord says: “Did I not indeed reveal Myself to the house of your father when they were in Egypt in bondage to Pharaoh’s house?” – 1Sam 2:27b

The Lord has made His salvation known; He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations – Ps 98:2

But God shows His anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. They know the truth about God because He has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities – His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. – Rom 1:18-20 NLT

  God is

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. – Matt 7:7-8

“Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will let Myself be found by you,” declares the Lord – Jer 29:12-14a

He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us – Acts 17:26-27

  God is

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. – John 3:16-17
