🔥 Jesus Himself to come to earth

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, Who, as He already existed in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself by taking the form of a bond-servant and being born in the likeness of men – Php 2:5-7

For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things just as we are, yet without sin – Heb 4:5

Truly, truly I say to you, the one who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I am going to the Father – John 14:12

Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus also was baptized, and while He was praying, heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came from heaven: “You are My beloved Son, in You I am well pleased.” – Luke 3:21-22

Now Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led around by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil – Luke 4:1-2a

And Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about Him spread through all the surrounding region. And He began teaching in their synagogues and was praised by all. – Luke 4:14-15

And the scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to Him. And He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.” And He rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down; and the eyes of all the people in the synagogue were intently directed at Him. Now He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.” – Luke 4:17-21

But if I cast out the demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you – Matt 12:28

The first account I composed, Theophilus, about all that Jesus began to do and teach, until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had given orders by the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom He had chosen. – Acts 1:1-2

🔥 The for us

Because we can be FILLED with God’s Holy Spirit, we can now:

Be EMPOWERED to obey and follow God

          And I will put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statutes, and are careful and follow My ordinances – Ez 36:27

Have a FOUNTAIN of Life flowing from us

          “The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” But this He said in reference to the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive – John 7:38-39a

Function in HIS Love – Not just our own

          The love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us – Rom 5:5b

PRAY more effectively

          Now in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words – Rom 8:26

Live in and through HIS power

          You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you – Acts 1:8a

Know for CERTAIN that we are His

          The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ – Rom 8:16-17a

Be LED by His Spirit

          For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons and daughters of God – Rom 8:14

Produce FRUIT by His Spirit

          But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law – Gal 5:22-23

Have His Holy Spirit as our HELPER, TEACHER and REMINDER

          But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I said to you – John 14:26
