Your Calling

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him. – 1Cor 2:9b

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, and His incomparably great power for us who believe. – Eph 1:17-19a

You a calling

He saved us and called us with a holy calling, not because of our works, but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began – 2Tim 1:9

✓  You have a calling – and you can’t be “uncalled”

God never changes His mind when He gives gifts or when He calls someone. – Rom 11:29

But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever; His intentions can never be shaken. – Ps 33:11

✓  Your calling is the place of your greatest fruitfulness

(Jesus speaking) You didn’t choose Me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using My name. – John 15:16

✓  Your calling is your place of freedom and joy

You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of Your presence and the pleasures of living with You forever. – Ps 16:11

Looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. – Heb 12:2

But God has shown us these things through the Spirit. The Spirit searches out all things, even the deep secrets of God. – 1Cor 2:10
