The most thing we do
I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. – Rom 7:15
And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to do what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. I love God’s law with all my heart. But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. – Rom 7:18-19; 22-25
For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak! Matt 26:41b
The only way to win this fight is to
As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous – not even one.” – Rom 3:10
God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him. – John 3:17
Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. – Rom 7:24b-25a
And I saw a great white throne and the One sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from His presence, but they found no place to hide. I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds. Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death. And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire. – Rev 20:11-15
